The calculation in one line
ELITE RMB publishes rates as Ghana Cedis per 1 RMB. To work out how much RMB your Cedis will buy, multiply your Cedis amount by the applicable rate. To go the other way and work out what an RMB invoice costs you, divide the RMB amount by the rate.
The two directions look confusing written down and are straightforward in practice, which is why the calculators on this site exist. They apply the same rates the transaction system uses, so there is nothing to reconcile afterwards.
Doing it on this site
Open the Cedis to RMB page and enter your Cedis amount. The calculator returns the RMB and tells you which tier was applied, so you can see exactly how the figure was produced rather than taking a number on trust.
If you already know the RMB amount a supplier wants, use the RMB to Cedis page instead — entering the invoice figure directly avoids the round-trip of guessing.
Where the tier fits in
The tier is decided by the RMB side of the conversion, not by how many Cedis you have. So two customers converting different Cedis amounts can end up on different tiers, and two customers converting amounts that produce similar RMB totals will be on the same tier. The RMB exchange rate page publishes both tiers and the amount range each covers.
Checking the rate is current
Every rate displayed on this site carries a last-updated time, because rates are set by ELITE RMB administration and may change. If the time looks old to you, that is your signal to check inside a transaction, where the rate that applies to your payment is locked and shown.
That habit is worth keeping: the calculator is for planning, and the transaction is for paying.
